The country’s researchers succeeded in designing and building an eye tracking device that has a spatial accuracy of less than one degree of vision and a time accuracy of 500 Hz.
Dr. Dehaqani, a member of the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence Engineering, University of Tehran and head of the Brain Technologies Laboratory, said in a conversation with reporters: So far, researchers in the country and abroad have succeeded in designing and building different eye tracking systems with different technologies, which are now being used.
Stating that each of these systems has different applications, he said: This eye tracker has many applications that can be used in research and industry.
The head of the Brain Technologies Laboratory also said: Eye movement is one of the most important behavioral responses produced by the brain, and it can be used to track human spatial attention.
Referring to the use of the eye tracking device, he added: Among the uses of this device, it can be used in advertising and commerce and in the field of neuromarketing.
A member of the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence Engineering of Tehran University said: We were also able to produce an eye tracker that has better quality than the existing samples.
He said: The designed device has a spatial accuracy of less than one degree of vision and a time accuracy of 500 Hz, which is used in the Brain Technologies Laboratory of the Convergent Technology Research Institute of Tehran University.
